Hello everybody 2009 fishing season is under way, although the weather is not favourable for launching the boats.
The AGM was held a week late due to double booking of the room but all went well there is nothing big to report same old stuff.
things to report are small boat comp will be held in a couple of weeks on May bank holiday as usual it will be weather dependent so fingers crossed se any committee member for details you will find posters up around both camps.
There are a couple of new committee members on the bottom sight thats Alan & Sue Dobbs not that is much different as everyone thought they were members anyway.
Don't forget the new rules on members subs if you are late paying you will be fined and if you are to late you will have to join again please read the blog below which has been posted a few months now.
Ref. the tractor remember to wash it down if you think your last to use it also look after it and don't go to deep in the water with it as has happened in the past remeber there are eyes everywhere at challaborough.
There hasn't been a lot of fishing as the weather is unsuitable but some have ventured out, including Ian & Jackie Bould they have had a couple of fish pollock to 3lb some wrass dogs and such but nothing major yet.
There are small bass around I was informed at the meeting from the shore around the point area but make sure you take care as there are hidden dangers, most people are spinning and plugging at the moment.
Also off the beach a nice plaice was caught by Steve the chef Bowers, I had a fillet for lunch handsome it twas.
The secetary Jeff & julie Walters have been out bits and bobs here as well dogs pouting herring.
The best wreck at the moment from reports is the Origan again see me if you need help.
The Mackerel are here now but some times a bit timid so get onto really small feather traces and you pull some Launce up as well these are great bait free lined or on a flying collar retrieved nice and slowly if your unsure come and see me I will show you number 68 avenue 6 top camp if you need fishing gear come and see me I have loads you can buy.
